Can social exercises or treating lawbreakers with deference achieve a change in their conduct and outlook? V. Shantaram, one of our finest movie producers, made a shocking film tending to this issue, path in 1957, in Do Aankhen Baarah Haath. Disregarding it being made in the 50s, it was significantly more impactful and interesting.

While Calapor begins off well, it loses hold in the blink of an eye and winds up being uninspiring and unimportant. Major imperfection being, everything looks exceptionally helpful. The famous detainees look respectable and clever enough to pass for jokesters in a carnival, even before Kathak dance specialists Jyotsna (Rituparna Sengupta) and Ragini (Binni Sharma) enter the Central Jail in Calapor, Goa with a plan of transforming these risky convicts.

The detainees are co-agent, yet Jyotsna is hesitant about the drive, concerning her, tolerating the task might be reviving old wounds. She responds to the call by the by, however gets supernaturally inhabited by her beset past.

What starts as a film made to address an issue converts into a grievous family show, where destiny unites father, child and mother after years. This track, coupled with scenes of a degenerate government official and his vicious intentions, expect no significance to remember the films essential subject. The suspense variable falls level as you foresee whats set to happen afterward pretty effectively.

Humour appears adolescent and compelled. A few scenes even resist rationale. For example, why might a cop himself shout Police ko bulao when making a request for support! Generally performers ham unendingly, notwithstanding Rituparna Sengupta and Harsh Chhaya, who convey fine exhibitions. Raghuveer Yadav and Priyanshu Chatterjee are squandered.

The aim is exceptional and we get the message, yet trashy execution neglects to inspire a reaction or incite sensitivity for convicts who might need to improve their lives. A subject as critical and extraordinary as this may as well have been took care of better.
